Heart Warming: More Good Deeds

Like last time  I posted, this week we get a bird’s eye view of even more good deeds. It’s heart warming to be reminded of how simply we can impact a person – or a large group of people – by offering the simplest kindness.

Here we go with the pictures!

1.  A couple pays it forward with buying a meal for a young family with children. This not only helped the wallet of the husband/ dad. It also helped imbed a lesson in kindness …

Goodness: A lesson Through Real Pictures!

A friend sent me some beautiful pictures that show, in real ways, how people share goodness.  It was another sweet lesson in the goodness of people, and how something seemingly tiny can make the day – not just for the receiver and the giver of the deed, but for all who find out about it.

Here is today’s Story In Goodness, simply shared via photographs!

1. A man sees a young woman walking the hot streets, with no shoes. He promptly takes off his …

Good As Gold! Integrity

Good As Gold! Integrity

Good as gold.  A fitting way to define two fellows who work for a HVAC company in Sacrament, California.  It made me smile outside and inward to read the news clip. This is the the story:

This Company, and Employees – Good as Gold!

Really? How many people do things like this, these days? More than we imagine, perhaps.

The really cool thing is that this isn’t the first time the Clark and Rush Company has found money – and given it to its rightful …

Deerly Beloved: Tall Tales and Warm Hearts

Think of the biggest fish story  you’ve ever heard. Then wind into that tall tale a story that can warm any heart. Call it deerly beloved.

I’ve heard some of those tall tales that fishermen share. But this one? It’s the coolest and craziest. This captain and his family went out for fish and caught…. deer!

Check out this story – in – pictures. What an amazing day out in the Alaskan waters. It may have been very cold, but this is a heart-warming story. …

Good Ideas, Keen Minds, and Harnessing Power

by Vickey Pahnke Taylor November 13, 2012
Good Ideas, Keen Minds, and Harnessing Power

Hard times often bring out the best in people. When you gather a few girls with good ideas, keen minds, and imagination — You figure ways of harnessing power in unique ways.  This is such a cool piece of news!

What these girls did, after Superstorm Sandy ripped New Jersey, New York, and so much of the Eastern seaboard of the USA apart, is amazing.  Weird. Out of the box thinking. And really good!

This information came from a site called good.is.  Check this out …

Goodness Matters

What Matters Most

What Matters Most

I recently saw a quote that I thought was both simple and profound.  It struck me as one of those things that matter most. It was simple in that I thought, “Wow! Why didn’t I think of that?” Powerful in that it got me to take action right then and there – to make an important change in my life. It’s all about how I approach my daily activities. And focus them on what matters most. The quote was:

Change your To – Do list

“Hug Me!”

I’m a hugger.

Hug me, and I love it.

You need a hug? You know who to come to.

Hugging is in my genes.  In my family, we’re loud, we laugh, we cook, we sing, we hug. Not much personal space needed in my crew. We kind of mix it all together and get – a symphony. Sometimes it’s gorgeous music. Other times – not so much. But no matter how cacophonous it is, I love it.

With my family’s norm, I know that I …

Kindness Is Its Own Reward

Kindness is its own reward.  It really is. We’ve all heard that “When we light the way for someone else, we lighten our own path as well.” in some variation of the thought. I’ve seen it in action, felt the ‘sharing’ of light when someone has helped light my way, or I’ve been able to do a little something to help another.  What a rewarding way to live!

I believe it’s true that when we do any kindness for another, it imprints on our hearts …

The Gift of Good News

It’s interesting that with the economy in the basement, and so many people out of work or barely making ends meet, generosity and charitable offering seems in full bloom.

I’ve enjoyed the gift of Good News several times in just the last few days:

1. Just this very day I noticed a woman stop by a Salvation Army station, complete with that smiling volunteer ringing the bells. She dropped a healthy amount of money in the bucket before she went her way into the store. …
