I was scared for my life. I was upside down.
This is what teenaged driver Weston Masset told the media on April 30th, after being pulled from a car by actor Patrick Dempsey. What a blessing he was to this seventeen year old!
Everyday heroes are sometimes well-known people. It’s life affirming to see celebrities tossing fame out the window and simply reacting with kindness and good instincts.
Dempsey, who has been acting for decades, has always seemed to be a good fella. For sure, he was in the right place at the right time to be a good Samaritan on April 30th.
It’s good to know that people of all walks of life — from a relatively obscure neighbor to a paparazzi star — will jump in and do the right thing. Whether or not any news coverage is involved, it’s the goodness – in -action that makes our heart grow and our feelings soar.
Way to go! I guess Mr. Dempsey will soon be called on to play a superhero onscreen. What do ya think?
