Good Music For the Ears But Better For the Soul
I love it when words, music, and a beautiful visual come together. This video includes good for the ears, but even better for the heart and soul. Patrick Henry Hughes is an amazing young man. His dad is hero. They both exemplify the kind of values most of us want to have at the core of Who We Are. These men? Genuine inspiration!
Please check out this beautiful video. There are so many good things to say about it, I’d rather you watch and enjoy those feelings personally. It’s better, more powerful, more moving when you watch.
The video is several years old. You may have even seen it before, as have I. But each time I happen upon it, I’m mesmerized – by the love, the dedication, the pure joie de vivre exemplified.Oh, the possibilities we have in life!
Although the video shows only the dad and son, it surely is a family effort. It makes me want to hug ’em.
Isn’t it wonderful?! I dare say that if I remember their example each morning, I’d be mindful to create a better day.
You know that saying…
When the going gets tough, the tough get going
This dad and son get it right… living life without the obstacles of a “handicap”; rather finding a way to make life work so that it’s full of goodness. What a beautiful example of love, faith, and tenacity they provide. Humbles me. Grants me more appreciation for the eyesight I still have left. Allows me pause to celebrate the family relationships that I cherish, and the ones who are there for me.. .and re-visit the sweet feelings of being able to ‘be there’ for my own.
Patrick Henry Hughes – a young man who is supremely gifted, musically. His dad – a man supremely gifted with understanding about Family. Work. Faith. Sacrifice. Love. Service. Joy. Possibilities.
I figure those words are among the most precious in language. Knowing how to make them come alive, every day, year after year? That’s priceless. And full of goodness.
Today’s post is short, but very sweet. Bless this man and son. Folks like them make our world a better place, as their example builds more goodness. What a treasure. What genuine goodness to celebrate!
Because goodness matters.
