Christmas is synonymous with gifts. Giving and receiving good gifts is a beautiful thing, full of  symbolism. The gift I want to touch on today is Good Cheer.

I love old fashioned traditions, happy endings, kind people, and lessons learned. So I’m kind of a Hallmark Channel groupie. I’ll take the cheer – the smiles-  the Hallmark Channel brings just about any day.

Simple things are often the sweetest things of all.  Remember blowing bubbles as a kid? And enjoying watching your children, or grandchildren, having so much fun with such a simple little toy?

I wonder why we love the bubbles?

Maybe it’s because we use our imagination, or remember that Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz who floated around in a giant bubble.  It might take us back to our childhood days. Or maybe it’s just because it’s fun.

I feel wilted.

It’s not a good feeling. Today is one of those days when I feel like the faded flower in a field of fresh, beautiful ones. I’m thinking I don’t even like the field anymore. Ugghh. So – what am I gonna do about it? After I crawled into my shell for a little while, I determined that I’d put into practice these few ideas. It may not perk up my petals, but it will bring more sunshine my way.
