I recently boarded a plane for Detroit and found myself sitting in the middle seat next to a six-year old boy on the window side that was traveling alone. He had his flight information in a packet hanging around his neck with a “Do Not Remove” label on it and a Spiderman backpack crammed full of goodies.
I soon discovered his name was Elijah. When the flight attendant took the drink orders Elijah asked for apple juice but refused the peanuts. I helped him hoist …
