A good quote or two can make my day. After going many, many months since last posting [that’s a story for another day], I thought I’d ease into it again. How better than to share a few of my favorite thoughts with you? Hopefully, it will help make your day, in some small way.
Hope is a buoyant word!
It gives strength when today seems too heavy. It allows for possibilities of better tomorrows, and fresh starts. It gives a bounce in our step and joy in our heart. Well, I should speak for myself: It does these things for me.
Every little blessing can add up. If I take the time to think on them, it can turn my day around. Change my mood. Grant me peace – or at least civility when I’m being uncooperative with my better self.
This quote is directly from the Old Testament. The thoughts that I think could fill volumes. But let me just say this:
Trusting in Him is a blessing
In counting my blessings, in fact, my ability to grow in trusting the Lord is right up there in the top tier. I’ve lived enough life to know that I don’t know much. He does. I love belonging to Him, and I delight in being able to trust in Him. When I back away from my frazzled thinking and ask for clarity, it comes. The best path seems to be lit. I can smile as a certain peace filters through the pain or sorrow or confusion. I can trust Him.
Okay. That’s it. Even though I will end my words for today, my thoughts will keep right on running. In gratitude for feeling like writing a bit, again. In joy for the ability to say Hello, and to share a couple of thoughts, with you. In humility for the blessing of returning health. In amazement for the good things in this world and the way I learn them. It’s all good.
And goodness matters!
